This platform is an independent student project developed individually to help peer-to-peer lost and found interactions. It is not officially affiliated with, run by, or endorsed by Bicol University or its administration.
1. Reporting Lost or Found Items
- Provide Clear Descriptions: Include identifiable colors, shapes, or branding. Do not list private details (e.g. key codes, phone passwords) that only the owner would know.
- Select the Correct Category: Tag items accurately (e.g. Phone, Keys, Wallet) to make search and filtering quick for everyone.
- Mark Campus Location: Select the correct Bicol University college building, library, or campus ground where the item was lost or found.
2. Safely Handing Over Items
- Prefer Campus Security: We strongly encourage finders to surrender high-value items (like phones, cash, or wallets) directly to the campus security office or department Dean. State this clearly in your item listing comments.
- Meet in Public Campus Spaces: If meeting in person, always arrange the meetup in busy, well-lit campus areas during daylight hours (e.g. college lobby, student plaza, library entrance).
- Never Meet Alone: Bring a classmate, friend, or staff member with you to any meeting. Do not agree to meet in isolated off-campus locations.
- No Payment Obligations: Returning lost items is a gesture of goodwill. Soliciting cash rewards or charging recovery fees is strictly prohibited.
3. Code of Conduct & Moderation
- Be Respectful: Harassment, threats, or deceptive communication via messages and comments will result in an immediate account ban.
- No Fake Listings: Posting dummy items, pranks, or misleading reports is forbidden. Administrators actively monitor the queue and dismiss unauthorized reports.
- Report Violations: Use the "Report" button next to any item description if you suspect a scam, reward request, or fraudulent activity.
